
On July 18, the 17th Photonics China Expo officially opened, bringing together leading companies and innovative technologies from across the optoelectronics industry. Leveraging the full-chain infrared capabilities of its parent company, GUIDE INFRARED, SensorMicro made a strong appearance at the event with a portfolio of advanced infrared core components and industry solutions, highlighting its latest technological innovations and real-world applications.

At the infrared camera core display area, visitors were drawn to a large screen showing clear, high-definition thermal images in real time. The live demonstration was powered by the GAVIN GC1210HMF HOT MWIR cooled infrared camera core.
Featuring a 1280 × 1024 resolution and 10μm pixel pitch, the GAVIN GC1210HMF delivers high-definition, detailed infrared imagery with megapixel-level resolution. Powered by HOT technology, the camera core achieves optimized SWaP performance while maintaining a compact and lightweight design. Its dimensions are as small as 101 × 101 × 54 mm, with a weight of only 570 g. The compact form factor makes it well suited for long-range infrared sensing systems where size and weight are critical, including aerospace and long-distance surveillance applications.
Meanwhile, two benchmark products from SensorMicro's widely adopted 640-series infrared camera cores also attracted significant attention at the exhibition.
The iTL612 PLUS infrared camera core features a 640 × 512/12μm ApexCore high-performance infrared uncooled detector, delivering a 40% improvement in imaging performance. It supports a wide temperature measurement range from -20°C to 550°C, with measurement accuracy of up to ±2°C or ±2%. Measuring only 17.3 × 17.3 × 25.4 mm, the camera core is equipped with a chalcogenide optical lens. With the 9.1 mm lens configuration, the complete camera core weighs only 13.7 g and consumes as little as 0.5 W.
Designed for lightweight and low-power integration, the iTL612 PLUS is ideal for compact equipment with limited space and power budgets. It has already been deployed in a range of high-precision, long-range sensing applications, including wide-area monitoring, industrial inspection, equipment condition monitoring, and forest fire prevention.
Another lightweight benchmark, the iTL608 infrared camera core, also attracted attention for its ultra-compact design. Measuring only 13 × 13 × 19.5 mm and weighing just 6.4 g with a 6mm lens, the camera core consumes as little as 0.4 W. Its compact size, low weight, and low power consumption make the iTL608 an ideal choice for applications with demanding requirements for size, weight, and battery life, including robotics and consumer electronics.
Through its participation in the 17th Photonics China Expo, SensorMicro demonstrated its capabilities across a broad range of infrared technologies, from high-performance cooled MWIR camera cores to compact and low-power uncooled solutions.
